I've seen nataq01's post about this game (Tales of the Abyss). Screenshots were nothing like mine!

Quote:So, i finished Tales of the Abyss from the begining to the end, only few graphical glitches occured and sound was getting little buggy few times ( it was going faster than it should ) but overaly its 100% Playable, FPS never droped under 100%

Windows 7 64bit
CPU : Phenom II x2 550 BE @ 3817Mhz @ 1.488V
MEM : Geil 2x1Gb @ 800mhz
GPU : Palit Radeon hd4850 512Mb @ 635/1050
MAB : Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3

m using:
PCSX2 rev.1659
GSDX rev.1650 ( native res because of ghosting bug )

CD - Linuz Iso CDVD 0.9.0
Controller - LilyPad svn (r 1607)
Sound - SPU2-x 1.2.0

I'm also unable to use Linuz Iso CDVD.

Quote:Error loading <path to .iso>

and

Quote:Error Opening CDVD Plugin

Any suggestions?

I'm a total newbie to play station emulation in general, please be patient. =3 I only have Tales of the Abyss right now.

Best wishes,
Sera~!

Set GSdx to pixel shader 3 and make sure your ISO image is not used/mounted by any other program

Enable Logarithmic-Z in GSdx for the graphic glitxh, I'd also suggest you get the latest beta and use SPU2-X as sound plugin so the sound lag is less noticeable.

Thank you two for the fast replies!
The tips really helped out.
Even though I don't know what changed by using SPU2-X plugins. Unsure

Though I can't use pixelshader 3, because even starting a game lacks so hard, that getting to the titlescreen would take like 30 minutes. Why is that?

All runs pretty good, considering my computer isn't that good. Tongue

Only thing is:
The game is pretty slow though - normal with 2x speed hack.
Do I need the speedhack, or is that a configproblem as well? Smile

Hm seems that 9500 card is REALLY slow Tongue I guess you already have the latest drivers for your graphics card. To get some free extra speed download and use the latest release beta 1888 from our site ( http://pcsx2.net/downloads.php?p=publicbeta )

Hmm strange... I got r1888 ready - start the .iso - after waiting some minutes looking at the frozen window, closed it. Tried pixelshader 3 -> same. I guess my pc doesn't like speed! ?_?

I needed the first one! Thank you! Biggrin
Pixelshader 3 works now, that's a big difference! It's great now and I can start playing!

You've been a great help and I'm happy now! Wub
