Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec [PAL]: lagging

Excl
I'm using a real disc (plugin method), running in 720p, but when a car model shows the game slows to 30 FPS (50-70%). Even in native res, the same result is present
PC Specs:
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU: AMD A10-6700 (QUAD CORE) (OVERCLOCKED TO RUN AT 4.1 GHz)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8670D
6 GB RAM
DirectX 12
HP Pavilion PC manufactured by HP in 2013

GT3 is still one of the most difficult games to run on pcsx2. your cpu seems underpowered for it. use pcsx2 1.5 and try to mess with some speedhacks but dont expect miracles https://pcsx2.net/download/development/dev-windows.html

edit: some people also claim that using the 480p mode in the game helps performance but im not sure.

I've installed v1.5.0-dev-2566-g3fe9ff7ac but I'm still experiencing lag.

Make sure you're using DX11 and not OpenGL.

Then you're probably out of luck, that APU won't cut it. Download Passmark Trial and do a CPU Benchmark and then tell us what the Single Thread rating is.

1175, but you would need around 1800

Just get a better CPU, or play on your PS2
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

Also what would be a tad faster and better is using Imgburn and make an image of your disc (Make sure it creates the image at 4 speed just to be safe).

1. I can't play on my SCPH-70003 because races take ages to load fsr
2. What CPU should I get?
