Gran Turismo 4 (GT4) license test crash

Game crashed when I was trying to start ib license test 5.
I tried some fixes about license crash but didn't solve the problem.
I can play and finish the other tests in ib, just not Test 5.
The game seems to be just fine as I can play other races, buy cars etc. but just not with Test 5 in ib license test.
I tested in both PCSX2 1.4.0 and the latest Git version (v1.5.0-dev-3399-g8d3ff9444) but seems like both of them can't get through Test 5.

My spec:
Win10 64bits
i7 7700
GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB ram

I believe my rig is more than enough to run the game so perhaps the problem is the settings?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

tried using your original DVD instead of iso ?

License tests require the default rounding and clamping modes. Some tests run okay, others hard crash.

- Stop the game if it is already running: System > Shutdown
- Open Emulation Settings: Config > Emulation Settings
- Use the "Restore Defaults" button on the EE/IOP tab
- Use the "Restore Defaults" button on the VU tab
- Use the "Restore Defaults" button on the speedhacks tab, then turn on MTVU
- Untick System > Automatic Gamefixes to disable automatic EE/IOP fixes
- Boot the game

You should now be able to run license tests without crashing.

When you are done with license tests and wish to play other parts of the game, you will want to tick System > Automatic Gamefixes again.

I live in Taiwan. I play Gran Turismo 4 chinese edition.
I get the same problem, but now I find the solution.

There is something wrong with EmotionEngine Recompiler.
When I change it to Interpreter, the PCSX2 runs slowly,
but I can play the License iB-5.

You can change it back to Recompiler, when you start the License iB-5 test.
(PCSX2 will run normal FPS 60.)

everytime when you want to play the License iB-5 test, you need to do all things again.

Thanks! It worked for me. Although the game will turn very slow while in the test, I am grateful I can at least finish the test and get the license.
