With a x2 3800+ at 2.6ghz, 2gb ddr1 ram, HD 3850 512mb AGP card im getting sometimes nice fps sometime dreadful fps, is there any configs ppl have found to make it smooth all the time i.e above 30fps ish at min?

1. Windows 7
2. overclock your cpu to atleast 3ghz
3. they made an AGP of the HD 3850?

Ah i only just noticed how old the cpu is.

Its not recommended to have less than a 3ghz dual core to run the emulator. Vista will help though (whats wrong with windows 7? its free Tongue)

Well i duno, probs that its beta, plus i duno how things will run on it, could i migrate my firefox and thunderbird settings over to that os? Also what drivers would i get and would they work ok.

Just duno mate. At least with vista its not beta (tho some will argue it is hehe).

The cpu is a skt 939 x2 3800+ i got it a year ago ish.

All vista drivers work on windows 7 because it uses a very similar frame.

They don't make your cpu anymore sorry mate. Also you can dual boot your system to use both windows xp and windows 7 Wink

I know they dont make them anymore. Hmm vista drivers... And yeah i know i can dual boot but well is it really worth getting win 7 just for 1 game to run better? I mean i want to know roughly what can i expect to increase exactly and by how much. (rough guess)

On certain games i have had a 20 fps speed increase. Usually get in between 10 - 20fps increase though.
