The game plays great on my system. Generally a constant 60 FPS except on the rare occasions I run into a group of 8 or more monsters and then it drops to 40ish. More than playable considering it happens rarely.
However during cut-scenes I have another problem. They run smoothly based on my settings I have not had any real noticeable slow down except during one scene. But the textures and/or graphics on the character models seem to randomly ehh mix or dissapear. Not sure how to describe it. Please see attached pics.
The first one you may see nothing, its hard to tell in a still image. But even in the scenes where the textures don't break up it seems some dark surfaces (usually the character shadows only) break up.
The 2nd pic is self explanatory.
Whats interesting is if I hit esc and then resume during the middle of a scene it randomly fixes the issues, sometimes for the rest of the scene, usually only until the camera changes again. Sometimes I have to disable or enable a hack. I have tried every configuration I can think of to fix this. No hacks, all EE hacks, even tried the game fixes to see if any of them worked.
If you have played Grandia 3 please let me know if you have experienced this or not yourself? Could this just be an issue with the current stage of the emulator? The game is still more than playable just trying to see if I can get rid of the graphic problems.
I play in DX 10/11 hardware mode, D3D Internal Res 1024x1024 *have messed with this as well, didn't work* 1x scaling, 1 HW AA (turned it off doesn't work). I have tried Native Resolution but besides the game looking like crap the problem still occurs.
Texture filtering is checked.
Hacks: Enable INTC Spin Detection, Enable Wait Loop Detection, mVU Flag Hack, mVU Block Hack.
EE set to 1, VU set to 0
I forgot to mention I am using PCSX2 0.9.7. Tried to downgrade to 0.9.6 and see if that would fix it but can't get it to read my memory cards/save states and with how far I am don't want to start over.
System Specs:
