Started playing some GT4 today when I suddenly got flashbanged by garbage graphics after the start of an endurance race. I initially thought that it had something to do with the HD texture pack I was using, since I read online that there had been some unresolved bug on Tokyo R246, so I relaunched the game with no texture replacements but the bug continued to happen at inconsistent intervals.
After further testing I found out that this occurs every time my car is parallel with an opponent's. Races that I have tested so far were:
Using Vulkan renderer w/ 4x native resolution, alongside upscaling fixes.
Needless to say, it's a little distracting! If it's an error on my end I'm not sure what could've caused it, as the game was playing fine a few days ago with no changes in settings. I'll try to provide screenshots later since I thought I was able to upload a clip of me replicating it, since it's kind of hard to explain this one with just words or still images.
EDIT: This was resolved by turning off Merge Sprite, located under Upscaling Fixes. Someone else will probably run into it, so there ya go.
