Graphics problem causing freezing

I'm not 100% sure if this goes here as I am new to the forum but I have a problem with Jak X (I know its compatibility is not good). So when i'm at the vehicle selection menu there is a tiny little looping video with your currently selected character in it the problem is when this video loops it gets a small grey box in it and the video output of the emulator crashes/hangs. i tried nearly every combination of emulator settings and plugin settings and nothing will fix it.
