Gray box around video, can't play any games.
#1
Hi. I am using PCSX2 git as well as Mesa graphics drivers from git. When I try to play any game, there is a gray box surrounding the video ouput. This occurs on both GSDX OpenGL Software and Hardware. Any ideas?

What distro? 32 or 64 bit? What gpu do you have?

Try using Catalyst. Not the crap version from the repos. Use the AMD manually installed drivers.

I have used Mesa for a while with pcsx2 with no issue, and Mesa actually runs very well and is much less buggy for me. Is there any information I can provide to help? I'd rather not use pcsx2 than install catalyst.

I can understand the reluctance with Catalyst. Newest versions of Catalyst of much better in compatability than old ones. But anyways...please state the game(s) that provide the grey box issue and terminal output. Usually these are gpu issues that need to be resolved.

So far, it's every game I've tried. No games that I have tested do not have the gray box. This includes Dragonball Z Budokai 2, Ratchet and Clank 1, Sly 1 and Sly 2.
Here is the terminal output:

No, I'm not going to switch to catalyst. My drivers work great in every other game, and in wine. I am using the latest version of mesa from git.
