Gregory Horror Show freezes (still) on language select

So I had read pcsx2 finally was capable of running this game, yet even with the latest version of the emulator, it still stops responding to any input at the language select. Running this on play! works fine in terms of input (though the screen constantly flashes ^^; ) The controls in pcsx2 are set to my keyboard mappings as well.
