BIOS Used: USA v02.20(10/02/2006) Console

MTVU + Recommended Hacks

Gamefixes Used:

Amount of testing done (little/medium/much/completed-game): much

Comments:

Generally a very light 3D game, will run fine on either DX11 or OpenGL renderers. I would reccomend using the MTVU speedhack for this game.

Raw fps while paused on a stage were:

MTVU Disabled-175-180
MTVU Enabled: 228-235

Bugs:

There will be whitespace missing in the combo meter unless the VU rounding mode is set to "Positive" (already convered under automatic gamefixes)

You're using an unexplained non-default setting. Please explain if it is necessary. If it isn't, did you test enough of the game with the default "Basic" setting to make sure?

Also, did you test the performance impact of the MTVU plugin? It would be an informational comment.

AFAIK guitar hero doesn't need any blending accuracy

Some games only need to improve a few textures/effects in one or two locations. You wouldn't necessarily notice it either, as using basic or even none BUA isn't always clearly broken(could just be the difference between a bland and shiny surface).

The effect is neglegible but BA is used for a "DOF-like" effect in certain shots like so:

None:

Basic:

I updated the report with some FPS info regarding MTVU and switched to Basic blending instead.
