Err... are you certain? How can Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 run smoothly on such GPUs? The recommended GPU requirement of Battlefield 3 is GTX 560/HD 6950.

...

Because they run at less than 720p resolution; with all the graphics turned down to the lowest they can go. They are running @ 30FPS. They have decreased draw distance, higher LOD, ect.

They usually can't maintain 30FPS, either.

It's very believable. Tongue

Plus, optimizing for one set of Hardware is much easier to optimize for.

This is one of the biggest issues with having 1080p on it:

speaking of these I wonder if anyone knows when they will release the FFX HD remake? Any word on that?

The FFX HD remake is just a increased resolution of 720p.

FFX on PCSX2 with 1080p, or higher + AA + AF will STILL look better.

All these HD Remakes I've been seeing lately are just that...they upped the resolution, added wide-screen support. No new textures, models, or anything.

that's too bad... I was hoping that they re-did the graphics (such as character and monster models) so it looks more like a PS3 game (like FF13) but I guess I was wrong

There's a rumor that FFX for PS3 will be a remake using the FF13 engine and having new models and textures.

Yeah, no...again.

Cause they didn't. I've seen the comparisons. The contrast was changed, the resolution was increased, and the FPS is more steady, that's about it. Better than the original, obviously, but really lazy for a "HD" remake @ 20$.

Did you selectively block the obviously updated texture from your vision or something?
