8500GT, You are the weakest link!

Translation: When it comes to GPUs, PCSX2 prefers good pixel throughput and, to a lesser extent, healthy amounts of video memory. An 8800GT would be a huge upgrade over the 8500GT (possibly as much as 2-3x better framerates in some scenes).

Other than that, your CPU speed and memory and all that are reasonable.

Of the two, I would recommend the DDR3. DDR2 is slower, and cheaper, thus you will probably see more of it on the card than DDR3, but you should always get DDR3, as the faster RAM will make a big difference in the speed in which scenes get rendered.

That being said, don't expect perfect speeds all the time. In 3d scenes where there are a lot of polygons, even the beefiest system will slow down somewhat.

No, as stated in the FAQ both Crossfire and SLI have no effect on PCSX2

Pretty sure it goes something like:
HD 4750 > HD 4650 > HD 3870 > HD 3850 > 9500GT > 8600GT > HD 3650 > 9400GT
