HP Chamber of Secrets Freezing before EA Screen

So I just recently tried to play HP and the Chamber of Secrets for some nostalgia, but whenever I try to run the game, I get this error :

this game needs a patch to run.
have a look at the compatibility list, look for your game, and and get the proper info to run it by clicking on the "notes & settings used" link
