I don't know if there's a big difference between the PAL and NTSC versions but my i7-860 2.8 GHz has no problems running Final Fantasy X NTSC at stock with Turbo Boost disabled. Even goes up to 100+ FPS. Yes, there are some games that require an overclock or some speedhacks but from my experience, FFX doesn't seem to be one of them. Try playing FFX on stock speed. I'm pretty sure even your i7-920 at 2.66 GHz is plenty.

Well maybe youre right, ive never tested how fast FFX runs on my pc at 2.66 ghz (stock for 920), but i did test FF12 at 2.66 ghz and it didnt run full speed, those two are pretty close when it comes to cpu demand, FF12 is more gpu demanding, but i dont think that its much more cpu demanding. And no there is no difference between NTSC and PAL when it comes to emulation speed.

Just tried Final Fantasy XII (NTSC) on my PC and I'm getting greater than 60 FPS at stock speed of 2.80 GHz (scene after the opening FMV). No speedhacks. That's just 133 MHz higher than your i7-920 so unless there's a huge disparity between the PAL and NTSC versions, I have no idea why you guys aren't getting full speed.

133 mhz doesnt seem like much but could make a little difference but ff12 after opening FMV is not very demanding part of the game, it was full speed at 2.66 for me as well, its later on the way to raithwalls tomb when crossing the dessert when fighting i was getting like 50-60 flps @2.66 it was totally playable but not perfect, now all games i beat i newer get below 60 flps, except for those problematic spots that exist for some games no matter how fast your cpu is.(like at the end of boshes strongest quikening flps go down to like 20 maybe even lower, and its the same on any pc i tested it)

PCSX2 settings? Plugin settings? what do the EE/GS% number say when you get slowdowns? Tongue2

EE: 39% and GS: 16% at native resolution. The CPU shouldn't be a bottleneck for that scene.

@GuyFawkesV
Post screenshots of EE/IOP, VUs and Speedhacks page. Also, post a screenshot of TMonitor while playing.

Here is my pcsx2 folder, use your own bios (put them in bios folder) and create new mem cards i didnt give you mine, everything else should be configured, try it out and tell us the results.
