it was an official pcsx2 0.9.7 r3878 build, preconfigured and tested by me so he can try it out and see if the problem hes having is with pcsx2 configuration or due to something else.

it was 100mb because i forgot to delete my savestates, some of them are as big as 20mb, i had no idea they were so big

you can just post the inis, that is just as good as posting an entire build, especially if it is an official one.

well im still getting ~25fps, which isnt even near 50-60, i honestly dont get it. it's like this with every iso i've tried

your hardware is very similar to mine, when i was clocked @2.66ghz i was getting near perfect speeds, over 50flps, so its not your hardware for sure, here is my inis for official newest beta put them into inis folder and your pcsx2 should be configured like mine, and you should be getting over 50flps for FF12 and FF10, those are the ones i tested @2.66ghz, if everything works fine and you get near perfect speeds i would recommend a slight overclock to 3.0-3.2ghz to get perfect speeds, its very easy to achieve on i7 920, just turn off turbo mode (it works only for one core anyways) and change bus speed from 133>>150/160, thats it, ive changed mine to 175 to reach 3.5ghz and get perfect speeds for wii games.

The fact your CPU/GS %'s are so low suggests to me you have something running in the background which is taking president over PCSX2, i suggest you have your task manager open while you use pcsx2 and sort it by cpu usage, see if anything is taking over. the EE one should be at 99%

i dont know what could be running in the background to slow down i7 that much, its a quad core with excellent multitasking capabilities i dont think that something running in background would cut his flps by half. He should test some demanding pc games and tell us the results, just to see if its pcsx2 related problem or not.

i dont think theres anything wrong with his EE%, mine is the same 30-40 during intro, 50-70 during gameplay, and every game runs full speed for me
