Hardware Issues
#1
Okay so before i say anything, YES I have read the full configuration guide, and after i did i got a big improvement. But I'm surprised that my beefy computer cant handle this emulator to well.

My Specs:
Graphics Card: Radeon 6770 HD
Processor: FX-4100 Quad Core 3.6GHz
Ram: 8 Gigs
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

Okay so in just about every game I get freezes and slow downs.
Looking at my specs while i read this I find that hard to believe.

Any idea why I'm having any issues at all?

Oh and Kingdom Hearts, Radiata Stories, and Final Fantasy X all have frozen on me and I cant continue past those points.

-EDIT-

Yeah i just realized i had ***** spelling when i type fast. edited.

about the freezing issues : post the emulog, please. It'll give us an idea of what goes wrong

About your hardware : use latest svn with mtvu hack since you have more than 2 cores. But since you seem to have bulldozer architecture, don't expect too much. Many benchmarks proved that it performs quite bad when it comes to gaming. Unfotunately, it's the same for pcsx2.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

56.14 FPS - SLUS 20672 - AMD FX-4100 - 4.4 GHz OC (DDR3 1600 MHz) - lexm1

Your processor isn't strong enough for full speed, despite this issue. At 4.4GHZ, you're still not achieving full speed. @ 3.6GHZ...good luck.

Very cool!
It was the disc.
Fixed and the battle actually started this time.

Also so far, with my new configuration i havn't had any trouble yet in kingdom hearts 2, and radiata stories.

Ill go back to FFX and KH1 later to see if those still freeze.

I can't tell any difference but i installed the two files and it MAY be working better. No idea though since i havn't done any bench marking.

Also regarding my hardware, if anyone can see anything that i could improve please let me know.
so far everything is 60 frames except for Valkyrie profile 2, thats at a solid 45 with the speed up and the most recent emulator.

-EDIT-

Reason for double post is because i didnt wanna start a new thread about the same thing, but i wanted it at the top of the list. =P

Says in yout Sig, that your using SVN 4600. Have you tried using the latest build? to utilise the MTVU hack, it runs the micro VU on it's own thread, it can significantly increase your frame rate depending on the game, of which arn't very GS heavy. At least it does for me.
