What if you set crc hacks to full on Direct3D?
Full or Aggressive will give artefacts, anything else seems to fix that. Bear in mind I've only tried with Direct3D 11.

To fix the artifacts on the screen Enable the HW Hack "CPU 8-bit FB Conversion"
This should fix the artifacts on Direct3D and OpenGL

Great work! Thanks a bunch

Completed a whole playthrough (even collecting all wizard cards) with the patch. No artifacting. I'd say it works.
Edit: I should probably mention that I also did this on the US version of the game.

Please put this information onto the Wiki.
I wasn't allowed to say that the US version was fixed since I don't own the US version of the game (even though the patch clearly works with all regions).
Thanks dude.

I kinda want to wait until #2086 is merged to master. It's a little messy to direct people to two different forum posts to patch their game/emulator enough to play.
