While it is possible that the medium itself has been damaged, the error correction data on the disc should take care of it. ImgBurn is nice, but DVDisaster is better at reading bad discs. Try that. It won't just stop half way through, but will read as much of the disc as possible. I have Final Fantasy 12 and could provide additional, external, error correction data assuming its not too large, and assuming that is allowed by the forum rules.
