Hi there, im playing Haunting Ground on latest SVN build (pcsx2-5674-windows-x86) and its really confusing,
In HW render all is good, but there are no shadows, it looks like this:

And in SW shadows are here but game is bleak:

Which graphics is correct? Which one is close to original?

No i mean that SW rendering is much closer to original game then HW, cause HW is colorful and SW is bleak... So i means developers wanted this game to look bleak. Am i right?)

Lol, it doesn't change the fact we cannot answer a question about what somebody else wanted.;p
But if you simply don't like the colors in SW mode you can use shadeboost feature of GSdx, use one of the external shaders that enhances colors or even write your own. There's no reason to stick to "original" looks if you really dislike it.

Well, i'm russian so my english is not perfect, sorry for misundestanding. I'm not talking about what i like or not. I would like to see image as close as possible to original ps2. So i guess SW mode gives this feel. I'm i right?

Hello, I've got a totally disrespectful question to the developers of PCSX2, and i'm sorry about this.
I've learned about this emulator long ago and my initial idea was to play some ps2 exclusive horror games, like subj. And in 2012-13 I found that PCSX2 can't render shadows in HW mode of Haunting Ground. Over 5 years passed since then and I've tried it once again. Same issue. How can it be? Is that some kind of super-duper ultra rare and extreme hard issue to fix?
