so i have a OC'd FX-8350 cpu @ 4.4ghz and a OC'd EVGA GTX 970 SSC gpu yet when i get into a game of NFL 2K5 the frames stay at around 40fps and i have no idea why. whenever im not in a game the fps goes anywhere from 60 to 100. ive watched countless youtube videos of the settings im suppose to have and none of them work. somebody please help me out because 2k5 looks great in 1080p.

So i got it working to where it stays in the 60s (besides kickoff where it dips into the high 40s) but sometimes it spikes into the 80s how do i lock it to 60fps?

Go to Config > Emulation Settings > GS tab. Is the Base Framerate Adjust set to 200% instead of 100% ?

So what good settings did you find that made it work? I have similar issues, Through the startup, menus, pregames I stay at high FPS and the game runs smoothly but during the game it intermittently changes from smooth to slightly slowed down.
