Help: DS4/PS4 Xinput registers in ds4/lilly, but not in game?

Reliving my childhood with some Armored Core 2, when I came across this input issue:

I am using the latest stable build (1.6.0) with DS4Windows set as Xbox360 Emulation. The DS4 Xinput checker registers that all inputs are functional, including the rumble features. Lillypad is configured to default settings, with the exception that Directinput has been disabled to force Xinput (both the default setting and this setting do not function in game). The Lillypad plugin registers pad1 inputs from the controller, correctly interprets the joystick directions when mapping, as well as activates the rumble features.

When running the game, it is possible to navigate through the initial menu. However, it is not possible when creating a new game, to get past the new game selection menus; it is as if no inputs are registered anymore. When connected as directinput instead of xinput, it is possible to get past this initial setup menu, but in game the analog sticks do not function.

What is going on?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Will do, thank you! I tried many different configurations, as well as the pokopom input, which was able to open its GUI successfully, but was unresponsive overall; I went back to lillypad which was at least registering inputs and activating rumble. I am not sure why there are audio issues, but I diddn't detect any abnormalities with the sound.
