[Help] I can't get PCSX2 to work on my GTX260 !
#1
Yup, I'm new here (that much is obvious). Tongue

Yup, I also know it's probably been asked to death, but my inept searching skills have turned up no results, so here goes -

My current configuration -

PCSX2 0.9.6
AMD X3 720BE @3.4Ghz
Palit Nvidia Geforce GTX260
4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM

My main problem is with the Graphics Plugin. I'm currently using GSdx 890 (MXVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.14 (My CPU only has support for SSE2).

None of my games work unless I choose Direct3D9 (Software) under the Renderer field.

I tried using (Hardware) for both Direct3D9 and Direct3D10, but I get either extremely laggy performance or game crashes.

I've read the help and guide files, but they aren't helping me in this case.

Is there anyone with a similar configuration to mine? Any advice would really be appreciated. Sad

I forgot to mention that my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, with DirectX 11

My Nvidia driver is a stable 8.16.11.9062 and I don't want to change it. I updated to latest driver a few weeks ago and it screwed up my PC games.

With the next GSdx / PCSX2 releases, we'll insist a lot more on updating the libs.
Maybe, eventually, hopefully people will then consider doing what everyone (including the program) tells them to do. :/

But shouldn't PCSX2 work with older drivers as well ?
