Help Speeding Up
#1
Hello, I am new here, and I needed some help making Kingdom Hearts 2 move faster, I am not sure my specs are up to speed for it, but I wanted to know if I could do anything to make it run faster on the latest version of 0.9.7.

My specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x64
CPU: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4500 @ 2.30GHz
Graphics: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family
RAM: 2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 398MHz (6-6-6-15)

your graphics card is too weak for pcsx2 better get a dedicated GPU
e.g. nvidia 260+ or HD56xx+

Main PC1:i5-4670,HD7770(Active!)
Main PC2:i5-11600K,GTX1660Ti(Active!)
PCSX2 Discord server IGN:smartstrike
PCSX2 version uses:Custom compiled buildĀ 1.7.0 64-bit(to be update regularly)

Since it's mobile, it's doubtful that he'll be able to upgrade the GPU. Basically he's limited to the usual things - speedhacks, native res, etc.

So besides buying new stuff, there is no configs that can help?

Again, try playing with some settings and speedhacks (EE Cycle Rate, VU Cycle Stealing, etc). Perhaps you could also try switching Renderer from hardware to software.

Set GSdx to use "native resolution". That's all you can do to make it easier on your GPU.

That depends on the relative stength of the GPU. In this case, the G45 is just so bad that it's hard to determine whether he'll be better served by a software renderer. To put things in perspective, it's around the same as a GeForce 6200TC (probably even lower) and roughly 75~87.5% slower than a Radeon HD 5450.

I got one part to go without lag at all, but then it goes black screen, what do I do? I have EE Cycling at 2 and YU at 3, All 3 other hacks on and first 2 Microvu hacks on

sorry speedhacks always break things.
nothing you can do except disabling them
