Help find roms!
#1
Hi all, I am new to PCSX2. I can not find ISO roms anywhere for the emulator. I have been to all the usual sites vimms lair ect. It looks like they only have .bin not iso.
Can somebody please explain a bit more about the roms.
Can somebody please private message me with some information where I can find roms.
Even if somebody can please give me some tips where to find, that would be great. Thank you

This is not the place to come to for that, it's against the rules.

If any post like that is found, the thread containing it will be closed and further support will be revoked until proven otherwise.

The emulator is useless without roms. So normally this community helps each other out. I did not ask for a link to a free rom site. I will pay for roms, I just want some advise where to find roms and which roms work. PCSX2 can not work without roms, so how are all these people using this emulator without roms. Frustrating

You create the roms by dumping it from the disc of the games that you own.
You need a DVD drive for your PC/laptop and the game disc (obviously)

Buy used or new ps2 game disks on ebay/amazon/yard sales.

Follow these instructions to dump the disks and create your roms: https://pcsx2.net/docs/setup/dumping

Any further discussion about using games, hardware or media you don't already own will get you in trouble.

**Popular places for purchasing second-hand copies of PS2 games**
*Please exercise caution when buying from third parties online or buying from a thrift store. Make sure what you're buying is in a satisfactory condition, and always research to make sure the seller is genuine when making online purchases:*
- eBay
- Amazon (also can find new, in-packaging copies, if you're into collecting)
- Retro media shops
- Thrift stores/charity shops (Goodwill, etc)

**But... What about downloads?**
Believe it or not, the PS2 was released in the year 2000. Digital downloads do not exist for PS2 games.

**As per the onboarding prompt you agreed to when you joined the server, and the <#309654468730028032> channel you landed in upon agreeing to the onboarding prompt, our server does not support piracy. We will not provide any information or support for illegal downloads or 'warez' websites.**
