Does it say anything in the log like:

"1 cheat loaded"

or similar?

(BTW I don't use cheats, but widescreen cheats and I am assuming the readout is the same)

yes i did save crc in the file, and yes
Code:
Cheats found!
Cheats Loaded: 1
(gzipThread) Data saved to disk without error.

also just to make sure
Code:
(SYSTEM.CNF) Disc region type = PAL
ELF (cdrom0:\SLES_539.74;1) Game CRC =
0x945FBF31, EntryPoint = 0x00100008
(SYSTEM.CNF) Detected PS2 Disc = cdrom0:
\SLES_539.74;1
means the CRC is 945FBF31 right?

Yep, that's the correct CRC. And it loaded them. I have that game but not ripped, and not PAL, so I can't test >_<

Hmmm.

Maybe @Saiki knows.

Maybe you post again the pnach -file you were using
#24
EU value = 20409B40
US value = 20409840

looks like you just add 300 to it (Hex value) so the code I found was encrypted

start - 20409840
20409940
20409A40
end - 20409B40

Most of case, code address offset and data address offset are different.

No, it should remain the same. The games are only translated and coded to load on different offsets because of how the game and region coding works. This has been tested with many more games than just 1 or 2, and it has almost always matched up.

Just like when you translate something from one language to another via patching. Nothing changes completely, just loads differently.

Take the FF7 hard patch, it loads the same data, just the data it is loading has been altered. I would not provide such information if it was not valid in the first place

Even better example: play a game in NTSC U/C, then play it in PAL, then play it in NTSC J. what changes?

I think It's good looking for PAL codes.

And before you provide "facts" make sure to do your homework. You didn't even test anything I said before saying "it doesn't work"

The only way I could see the address changing is if the game was more than just localized. Like added features etc.

Would this be right?

depends on what is added. KHFM I could find a conversion factor for against KH I'm pretty sure, and most everything would work properly

Actually I didn't compare US and EU games. I apologize about it.

That's PSX though. not PS2

come up with a legit example for PS2, and not FFXII-IZJS (Which I know about already)
