Help getting cheats to work

Hello all,

I am very new to the emualtor world and just trying to play some GT4 with some quality of life cheats enabled such as camera views and trigger support on controller.

I have enabled cheats in my settings, downloaded the cheats as a PNACH file and then placed them in the cheats folder.

I've tried using numerous online tutorials however they all seem to be outdated and all the UI is different and just confuses me to be honest.

ANYWAY...

Any help will be appreciated. I'm not all that experienced in emulators so please bare with me if its something really simple.

I've tried seeing if the cheats being enabled is in the console when the game is running but it seems the line within the console about cheats being active is gone in the newer version?

Im on the latest version of the nightly branch. Just updated my emulator today.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

I've solved my own issue, I forgot to change the PNACH to the game serial it was using someone elses. I'm now fighting a game specific Gran turismo 4 error where I cannot navigate only the display options menu properly. It skips over most options and when trying to change aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 once i select 16:9 I cannot go down to where it says confirm i can only go up and down between two of the 3 options.
