An A10 will in now way run PCSX2. Maybe lighter games but that's about it.
If you're looking at a laptop an i7 is a minimum. Also, there are some games that do stress the GPU. My old 6870 couldn't play Dragon Quest VIII above 2x IR. take a look at this list.
It sorts all the processor according to STP by the order high to low. you can compare the processors to get a better Idea on how it will fare on pcsx2.

In applications that can take advantage of multiple threads, then yes, there will be a speed boost.

if you're only considering the case of emulation, the extra cores wouldn't provide increase in performance worth the price of jump from dual core to higher.
