Help please?

Ok so I just downloaded PCSX2 0.9.6 and it crashes as soon as I (try to) start a game. PS2 Output does not give me a clue if anything is missing. Any help?

specs if you need them:
Intel Core 2 Quad
3.8 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M

And i'm using Vista Home Premium.

Have you followed the Config guide? What plugins are you using and how are they configured?

Have you updated DirectX using the web installer or the August 2009 Redist? (DirectX 9.0C or 10 or 11 does not equal up to date DirectX).

Are you running the program as admin? Right click PCSX2 icon > Run as admin.
