#1
hey guys, i have looked at other forums, video's ect..
nothing seems to apply here.
it is the common issue. running like in slow motion, between 20/30 fps

i am running 1.2.1 checked the plugin on 9 hardware / 11 hardware open gl hardware and software 11 aswell.
i have opened nvidia control panel and set to max performance among other options shown in a few videos
turned off the fps limiter
nothing seems to work

the game in question is need for speed underground, runs fine for about 20 seconds.

my laptop (yes laptop) is alienware 17 with gtx 860M and running I7 4710 MQ and i know alot worse PC's can run this no problem.. so i don't understand..

i am using a Xbox one controller but i doubt a controller can hurt it surely?
the laptop is new. runs other games fine so it isnt broken either..

any help is appreciated.. really!

Which PC do qualify as "worse" ? How many fps did you get on those "worse" ones?
did you set your power plan to high performance ?
Did you make sure you aren't running on batteries ?
What is your CPU temp when running the game ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

the worse PC i mean non descript PC. eg: a friends dual core e machines with an upgraded £30 GPU runs at 50fps.

my power plan is high yes, on main power and my CPU after 5 mins of crashing around trying to get the PC working for it. max temp i got to was 62 on one core for about 2 seconds, averaging about 50-55 on all

They're customizable, hence I asked.

@ op, what speed/type is the GPU ram?
