Help with GS Plugin
#1
I'm currently trying to run Resident Evil Code Veronica, and I consistently have crashing issues after selecting new game. I am using the GSdx9 (MSVC 14.00, SSE2) 0.9.0 because the 15.00 plugin runs horribly slow on my machine. I've messed around with the settings in the advanced and CPU tabs in the PCSX2 menu, but it either causes my game to hand at the now lading sign or to crash. With regular settings I can get to the intro movie (after selecting new game) but it crashes when the actual game part starts. My specs are:
CPU: AMD Athalon II X2 215 Processor 2750 MHZ
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
OS: Windows 7 64bit

I also continously get this warning while running the game
"GIF Warning > Soft reset requested, but the GS plugin doesn't support it!"
Does this have anything to do with my problem?

The problem is you're using a very old version of the graphics plugin with the current version of PCSX2. Either use the GSDx that was originally included with 0.9.6, or upgrade to the beta version of pcsx2 (revision 1888) and use the gsdx in it.

Thanks, the new plugin worked extremely slow for me, but I tried changing to software mode and it worked just fine! It's a little slow, but I'm at the part where the zombies first attack and there's been no problems.

You can also try and pickup a new GPU. The one you have is very weak. You will get far better performance if you upgrade. You can also use the newer GSDX plugin as well.

That is an onboard graphics chip much like the intel gma series....Pick a 9600gt-class add-on gpu so as to not bottleneck the overall emulation.
