Help with configuration
#1
Hello everyone.

My computer has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ with 2.90 Ghz.

In http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Sticky-Wi...y-computer it says it should run at proper speed. But, actually, my games go at 20 FPS while playing. In the menus it goes perfect, but not in the proper game. I thought it could be a problem of bad configuration. Could someone help me?

Here are my specs in any case. If it is problem of the specs, tell me and I will change my computer. Someday. But it's not up to me:

2Gb RAM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ @ 2.90 GhZ
Windows 8.1 64 bits
nVidia GT240

It's weak tbh. What games are you trying to play?

It doesn't say that at all, if you read it
Quote:Will work at a reasonably playable speed (this does not mean full speed):

AMD Athlon X2 (and Turion laptop equivalent)

Is that guide even still up to date? Back then emulation wasn't as accurate as it is now, so it's become more demanding overtime anyways.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super @ 6 GB | Samsung 980 1TB | Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2)

Shadow of the Colossus, Burnout Revenge, Burnout 3, Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and ICO are the ones that I tested.

I heard ICO is lightweight, but the others are resource-heavy, so there's nothing you can do but to upgrade/play on your ps2.

I think ico is one of the less demanding games. The other ones are quite heavy.

I would argue the exact oposite. as the emulation was getting better I was seeing more speed, not less on my 2.20 ghz E2200

also, what version of PCSX2 are you using?
