Help with the record feature on PCSX2

Hi guys, wondering if you could help me with something. The record feature on my pcxs2 causes the game to lag quite a bit during play, and I was wondering if there was anything I could configure to make it run smoothly.

Fraps is also useless as it halves the FPS of the gameplay.

Alright, first off,you're going to have to post your PC specs and which version of PCSX2 you're running. After that, I'll see if I can help.
