Heroes of the Pacific - Game Running, Though Unable to be Completed

NOTE: Please PM me so that I get an EMail notification when replying to this thread. I will mostly likely forget about it otherwise because I'm rather forgetful with that sort of thing.

So I've been trying to get Heroes of the Pacific running and I haven't been having much luck getting things running smoothly. I've taken a look at the configurations guides and they haven't been much help.

Specs:
ASUS ROG G752VY DH-78K
OS - Windows 10
CPU - Intel Quad Core i7-6820HK 2.7GHz
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M

Jump ahead many a time later. I've gotten the game playable with these settings:

I have taken a video to demonstrate my attempts to run the game. The game itself can run, but I have found myself unable to get past the mission "Guadalcanal."
This video can be found here:

If anything else is needed of me, I will provide as needed. I've tried using both a PS2 disk and a random ISO off the internet to run it, and have gotten the same result from both.

what do the ee% & gs% say when you experience lag ?
are you running on batteries ?
did you set power plan to performance mode ?
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

My apologies for never getting back to this. After trying a bit I got discouraged easily and ended up leaving it be for a while.

You can subscribe to a thread instead of relying on one of us PMing you. You weren't kidding at least when you were forgetful... you forgot about your own topic for nearly a year in just 30 minutes.

So did you at least try the things that jes suggested?
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super @ 6 GB | Samsung 980 1TB | Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2)

I did, and the lag isn't the issue now. It's the game being unable to be completed, like I had said.
