Hi there, patch question.

It turns out the item codes I have for MGS2 won't work in PCSX2, because they all modify the same memory address. Unless I can find more elegant codes which can give you all items without crashing the emulator, you'll have to stick with what I gave you, I'm afraid. Sad

The CRC for MSG3 you gave me is for DVD2. Now I am guessing that perhaps this is normal - perhaps DVD1 is vanilla, unimproved game? (Subsistence has 3 DVD's. DVD 3 is a special feature disc, I think.)

I'm still working on getting the codes to convert properly. The Codebreaker ones seems alright, but quite a few of the item codes fail.

Meanwhile, try this file, and tell me what it does for you: I added the item codes, camo codes, invincibility, and stamina.

The code is for disc 1, but it crashes and gives me errors.

Heres Disc 1 info
ELF (cdrom0:\SLUS_213.59;1) Game CRC = 0x053D2239, EntryPoint = 0x00852A68
(SYSTEM.CNF) Detected PS2 Disc = cdrom0:\SLUS_213.59;1

21359 is DVD 1 for you? According to PCSX's files, it's DVD 2. I'm guessing that certain copies of the game had different disc numbers.

So you're getting errors? Would you mind opening that .pnach file in notepad, deleting everything after the Stamina Codes, and trying to boot again?

Whats weird is it says the disc is disc 2 of 3 like you said above the log, but at the title screen it says disc 1. Maybe that has something to do with it. Because this time it says it loaded the cheats fine just they didnt wanna work. And I got a few errors still but this time it didnt crash the game. It insists I have Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence Limited Edition disc 2.

*Sorry for long delay. I've been very busy.

Unfortunately, the item codes don't work due to the way they're applied. So I'm going to search for some different codes for both MGS2 and MGS3. I'm very sorry to be taking so long, but I've got a lot on my plate and a flaky internet connection.

Okay... It seems the problem with MGS3: Subsistence is that cheat-device companies were paranoid about making codes for it, since it had netplay.

I don't think I can get the item codes for MGS2. However, I have dug up some new health and stamina codes for MGS3.

see the attached .pnach file.

Tell me if those work.
