I have a relatively powerful computer and was wondering, is there is a way to make PCSX2 utilize more of my computer's potential? I have 6GB of RAM and a 2.50GHz 2 Quad CPU, yet PCSX2 will only use 201740KB which is about 0.2GB of RAM.
How Do I Make PCSX2 Cache More RAM?

you could launch pcsx2 10 times, even if I don't see what it could bring your.
What's the purpose of your idea ?

try using the 4GB patch on the executable program to increase the amount of memory PCSX2 can make use of.

PCSX2 doesn't really need a lot of ram to run though. The main thing is processing power. But you could try that if you think it'll help.

That patch will allow pcsx2 to use more RAM if pcsx2 asks for it.
but i think the OP wants pcsx2 to ask for more RAM rather that unlocking this kind of "limitation" (may be wrong until he/she gives precisions about it, though... ![]()

More RAM won't speed things up, if that's what you're after.
Faster Ram; Now that'll make things marginally faster. lol Helps a IGP a good bit, though. For what it can be helped, anyway. The 4gb patch will help if there's a memory leak with the particular game, but that's pretty rare. And even with that 4gb patch, a crash may still be inevitable from the leak.

May be by increasing RAM could save instruction still need to be proccesed next event so doesn't need new instruction? :/
