[How to Make PCSX2 Run Smooth?] Help
#1
I can get my games running, it just seems the frames run far from smooth. It runs but NFS Most Wanted sucks because with it running so unsmooth it takes 20 minutes to do a race. I just need help getting it to run smooth.

list detailed pc specs
Powerfull pc=60flps=fullspeed=smooth emulation, list your cpu, gpu, ram detailed specs so we can determine if smooth emulation is possible for you, also include pcsx2 configuration you have

my computer should be able to, its custom built.

GTS 250 1gig video card Nvidia
8 Gigs of Ram
Dual Core Wolfdale processor
250gig harddrive
typical CD/DVD burner
600 Watt Power Supply

Ive got all my video settings set to basic stuff just so it all works good,
Ive got Direct X10 installed. but i set it to DirectX9(hardware)
I left all settings untouched

whats your cpu clock? to run pcsx2 smoothly you need over 3.0ghz, and do use DX11 (DX10/DX11 both in DX11 plugin) DX9 will be slower and looks worse. you can also check recommended speed hacks they dont cause bugs in most games.

I think I remember that NfS hits some serious resources issue with GSdx.
Try the 8 bit textures option or enable the skipdraw hack (set it to like 10 and see if it works at all).

i tested few games on core 2 @2.5ghz and none of them ran full speed (unless its in native). You should overclock to 3.0-3.2 ghz, almost everyone who can does it, thats the clock that tends to run most games full speed
