How to change to and from Hardware to Software mode

I have a few games that I have really wished to play however due to serious graphical issues and whenever I check the games compatibility it is always the same thing to use software mode so could somebody please explain to me how go to software mode as I could not find any option in the settings. Thank you in advance.

Config=>Video (GS)=>Plugin Settings=>Renderer

You can press F7 while ingame to switch between hardware and software
Keep in mind that software makes the cpu do all the work so if you cpu is not powerful enough,you will not get full speed and in software mode there is no scaling so everything will look as if you are using native resolution in hardware mode
