Is there any way to create a snapshot in PNG or JPEG format? Pressing F8 creates a snapshot in BMP format whose size is too big.

ATM you can compress that BMP using one of many image processors over there, even in Windows Paint you can load the image and save it in the desired format. The main reason for not doing this directly under PCSX2 is the extra machine power needed to do the conversion with the emulation going on.

That's not so different with many AA PC games also, just to mention one of many examples, Oblivion allowed snapshots only in BMP as well, iirc.

I personally use the Windows Snipper Tool.

Thanks. I think there should be an option to configure the image type. I don't mind a little slowdown while taking a snapshot.
