How well does Final Fantasy 12 play now?
#1
Thinking of finally getting around to playing this now I have some quality time spare.
How well does this play on the US version? By this I mean known glitches, crashes, bad fmv's etc. Speed shouldn't be of much concern.

I'll most likely use one of the the latest svn builds as well.
Cheers

I have had zero issues except some minor slowdowns on my E2180 system so you should have no issues playing the game as well

Thanks for the replies. Well at least it doesn't sound anywhere near as demanding or glitchy as Valkyrie Profile 2 Tongue2

Really I'm looking at jumping straight onto FF12 International: Zodiac Job System - and apply the english patch. Hopefully I won't run into any annoying problems and everything should run sweet!

Just to update game has been running sweet but I've noticed some MAJOR slowdowns at certain points.

Everytime you do either Balthier or Basch's mist level 3 move the game really slows down, especially Basch's level 3 mist it's painful to watch Tongue
Also when you first encounter the Esper Mateus @ 'Stilshrine of Miriam', there's horrible slowdown or something going on there also.

Anyone else notice this? I'm playing on FF12 International: Zodiac Job System using an English patch.
Other than that no problems at all running this @ x5 native (even if I drop it to x1 native those above problems still occur).

What do the EE% and GS% say when it's slow?

Nice laptop, BTW. Smile

Here's what I'd get during Basch's level 3 mist move...

Beginning of mist sequence around:
EE40% GS 12%

Near the end of mist sequence:
EE 10-13% GS 1-7%

Thanks it's a nicely overpriced laptop that's for sure, would have loved a desktop if I didn't travel soo much Tongue

Merry Christmas!Smile

IMO though is that Alienware kinda sux imo Tongue it's the same as Apple, you pay way too much for what u get Smile There are perhaps laptops that are about 20 to 40% cheaper and have close to the same specs.
