It also attracts the attention of mods who like to keep the forums clean and don't like them being spammed.

It seems like Your rig in your sig have enough power to run anything at more then native resolution! Btw as blyss said No need to make another thread you can ask it on your old thread too the statement you make about new thread more attraction is valid for different topics not for the same!

Older posts come to the top when you reply to them, anybody who is interested in what you have to say will keep checking that post. Getting more people to look at it by making a new post isn't going to get you any more opinions.

Exactly, and it just tends to annoy the older users, which in turn gets you ignored and makes you lose out on the advice you would have gotten by just sticking to one place. (and you can always ask a mod/admin to change the thread title for you, sometimes they do it)
