The Flamin' Gamin' Guru thanks you for all the help!

Nobody is gonna ban you. All I was doing was just informing you of what we'd rather you do. Nobody is so uptight here that we are gonna ban you over something as trivial as this.

Btw as blyss said No need to make another thread you can ask it on your old thread too the statement you make about new thread more attraction is valid for different topics not for the same!

So which one would I have to run it at to get 720p?

and you're the man, much respect for the help!

You can look at cards here: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

Any one with a score over 1000 should handle 720p easily in PCSX2. You could prolly get away with less, but to be safe, I'd say go for 1000 or more.

So, just look up whatever card you are considering there and see. Now, if you wanna do 1080p I'd recommend a 2000 score. Also if you are interested in PC gaming I'd recommend a minimum 2000 score.

The one you linked scores 3256, so it will max out anything in PCSX2(beyond 1080p) and do pretty well in PC games too(medium high settings for recent games, max for anything older)

^ Even that is enough for 2x in most games though. I like to recommend with a little bit of a buffer.

My personal 7870 with it's overclock scores 4859: http://www.passmark.com/baselines/V8/dis...4846445388

(that's my entire system, although I have a different mobo now, and my CPU is at 4.4GHZ and scores around 7800)

Thanks!

and what is a 2000 score.... does that have anything to do with the 2x 3x thing?

As you can tell I'm fairly N00by at this

My GTX 650 gets around 1850. I can run BF4 at medium and pull 45fps. On high I pull 25-35fps.

I can run Burnout 3 at 3x native and I get slight drops to around 55fps, but they're rare.

The score is just a measure of relative performance of various graphic cards. Higher scores means they are faster. I know from experience what scores are needed to run what resolutions in PCSX2. This is not set in stone but:

Native: 300
2x: 600
3x: 1000
4x: 1750

Running above 4x really has no benefit, it's better to use 3 or 4x and enable MSAA. Looks better.

Anyway, each game is different. Some games you can 3x with a card that scores 600, some game you can't with a card that scores 1000. This is just sort of an "average" break down that represents "most" games. The card you linked at the first post will definitely 4x any game, assuming your CPU can handle it.
