How would this desktop handle most games

It includes the case, power supply, motherboard, CPU, video card, 8gb of ram, 1 TB hard drive, CDVD burner.

It does not include OS or keyboard mouse. My wireless combo cost me $25 so $525 with the keyboard and mouse. I already had a copy of Windows 7, so I didn't buy the OS.

Windows 7 professional would add $70. So let's call it an even 600 for everything. To build a rig significantly faster than the one that's 800.

Yeah, for a $1100 you can do an i5 4670k with a GTX 760 and 1TB drive.

Here is a modified version of what I have, with a GTX 760 1TB drive and 8GB Gskill ripjaws RAM at 800mhz. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WCVcRB

Dude that's awesome. I'm guessing the prices went down since now it's close to $900. Would that be your main gaming pc?

That's a good build. Personally I'd go with the 4670k though(that one on the site is a 4440) due to it being not much more expensive. And a mobo with OC capabilities.

I'd definitely go with a higher watt PSU, at least 500. That one would work, but I always like to have a bit of overhead on the PSU in case you add stuff later.

I have a dilemma about the intel vs amd processors. I know normally intel would be better but wouldn't the amd fx 8350 8 core be better and more affordable than the 4670k?

Depends on your goal.

The 8 core AMD is only gonna beat an Intel on tasks that use 8 threads. Their aren't that many that do, but some are video encoding, file compression.

If you are just trying to get a good value for your money, I highly recommend getting the FX 6300 and overclocking it to 4.2Ghz +. I have one at 4.4Ghz and it's enough to run 95% of PCSX2 games at full speed, even in software mode. It's also plenty for PC games. It's also only $100. If you are only gonna keep it at stock speed though, it will be weak for some of the more demanding PS2 games.

So overall the 4670k beats the FX8350?

What would u recommend if my budget is $800
