Huge EE Spikes in Onimusha 4

Haven't played in a while. I set up the latest from buildbot and configured it. I can't seem to find the cause but every once in a while the game slows to a crawl and EE spikes to 100%. This happens until I get to a new loading screen.

Laptop + lagspikes = overheating;P

Check your cpu temps and clocks(with core temp or any other program like that) during gameplay, couse that's the most obvious thing.
