Huge fps drop on death screen.

I'm playing Drakengard and since the first time I loaded the game (with pcsx2 default settings) the game speed drops up to 10-30%. Is there any especific setting I should check to avoid this? I'm improving the graphics as much as I can and my notebook can maintain 60fps up to 6x native (however i'm using 3x) so i dont believe its a cpu/gpu problem.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
