2005
<50727 = Vanilla 50727+ = SP1 2008 <30729 = Vanilla 30729 and up = SP1 2010 30319 = Vanilla 40219 = SP1 its a bit harder to tell with VS2008, as some applications have been found to bundle a release newer than available from microsoft There are times where an application will install a version of the redist that is higher, when built against VS8 or 9. This is not the case with 2010 where the runtime is self contained, that is, any update made available for 2010+ will replace the older version with the newer runtime. So its not unusual to have several versions of the x86 runtimes and NOT have matching versions for x64. |
