ISO's Wont boot

Hi
I was using an older pcsx2, which was working with a Gradius V iso.

But now I've upgraded to the newest version 1.2.1, gradius wont even boot.

My other ISO (Virtua Tennis) works though.

Any ideas why Gradius has stopped working?

Are you using any non-default settings ? At, what version did it work before ?

I'm using non-default settings
But I used non default settings before

I think i had version 0.8. before
And it worked ok

I found the problem
MTVU Multi threaded micro stops the game running

No idea why.

But its running ok now

By the way, is there an area where I can get tips on how to get the best framerate while playing my games?

Or is it best ti just do it myself, 'trial and error' approach?
