Ico, black screen on start up... fine in Windows?
#1
Hey all,

Just wanting to get pcsx2 up and running on my mac as the ps2 is on the downstairs tv, trying to get ideas for game development by playing Ico again. However I tried it on the windows version of PCSX2 and everything was fine but when I run it on the mac I simply get a black screen running at 60fps. I am not sure what could be wrong, there does not seem to be anything useful in the logs either : / Would it still be helpful to post?

I am running an i3 3.2, Ati Radeon 5670 HD if that helps.

Any ideas or settings would be great as I am trying everything!! Thanks!

I think Ico has had problems running on 0.9.6 even in windows. I've got ico so I'll check what's going on.

Don't think that will help but just in case! My bios is from a older Japanese console I got for the better games but I doubt that would affect it?

Either way will look forward to hearing if you have a solution! : ) Even if it means waiting for 0.9.7. Oh and a thanks to porting it to the mac too!!

YOu may want to try turning off the "No logorhitms Z" hack.
And also, the Ico game you have, is its region code from the same region as you PS2 bios?
I mean like PAL (European) games only work with PAL bioses.

Nope PCSX2 can play any game region with any BIOS region

It can?
Well, I have had issues with that, but if you say so :-)

Thanks for the replies, I tried turning off the hack as I actually turned it on to try and get it to work.

Any further thoughts on this one or just sit back and wait for 0.9.7?
