Illegal instruction (core dumped)
#1
Installed pcsx2 using the AUR (enabled multilib repo) on endevouros. Starting the application results in nothing happening. Tried it in the terminal and got the feedback: Illegal instruction (core dumped). I will post the details of my PC too.

Other threads seem to indicate it is a gsdx problem but unsure how to proceed.

If you can help, I will be very grateful. It's a semi low-end PC but with the overclocking my Intel duo my fave game SMT: Nocturne runs pretty well without too much slowing down. Just looking to use arch on this PC!

Check if your card supports opengl higher than 1.3 and vulkan. Also see if your cpu supports the plugin instruction set (btw see if your drivers are up to date)

Your CPU doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the current version of PCSX2, it needs SSE 4.1, see here: https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2#minimum

You might still be able to use an older build (1.6, current stable for example) but your PC is probably too weak to run most games anyway.
Tired of always changing your PCSX2 Configuration for different games?
