In-Game Text Issues
#1
I am currently trying to play Romance Of The Three Kingdoms IX but I can't read certain text in the game, and other text I managed to fix by raising my brightness to 60 and setting contrast to 40.

Here is an in-game screenshot showing the text problem. It exists at other parts of the game as well.

I've tried changing just about every setting in the emulator for and all the different video plugins along with hardware and software mode and haven't found a way to work around not being able to read some text in the game.

Any help that could be provided would be amazing.

Here is the log from my emulator window not sure if it will be of help to anyone

Switching to a SSSE3 plugin didn't help. I tried all the others that are in the drop down list they didn't help either.

If you changed every setting have you tried defaults again? Sounds stupid but maybe you enabled somewhere a hack that is not working well with that game. So maybe disable speed hacks and restore everything to default in emulation settings and restore gsdx settings if you could believe the effort might be worth it.

Other than that. You tried all video-plugins in all settings? Also OpenGL? Have you tried ZeroGS as gs-plugin (might be flying around in the net)?

Are you sure that there is text at the place you are expecting it? Maybe you can check again using the ps2 or - if transport of savegames/savestates is to complicated or impossible - in the web?

Edit: Forget the last sentence... Now I am seeing you problem. Maybe not helping but have you tried different deinterlacing modes? Maybe one of them can better the image.

I am sure there is suppose to be text there, I have tried every combination of settings in each of the plugins. I was at this for hours Sad The game is playable without the text but it would be nice to have it working.

So ZeroGS was on your list? I would start there. If it shows exactly the same bug it is probably somewhere in the core. That would probably also mean that you can not solve the problem (if it is not solvable by clamping or rounding modes)

Is hard trying to answer to specific problem in a game one doesn't have. But supposing that text is missing, one possible reason is skipdraw is not set to 0, case you have changed it for some reason before.

As it is is impossible to me to say the game is properly emulated without glitches already, even.
Imagination is where we are truly real

Yeah it is somehow hard to believe that software mode doesn't solve that problem. But if he tried all settings?

Because of skipdraw I asked to revert everything to default. But maybe there is some bad effect on the text that can be removed by skipdraw? Have you increased skip-draw to some point if the default doesn't solve your problem?

I tried software mode for directx9, directx10 and directx11 didn't help. I tried skipdraw 1-5 and then went to 100 and that didn't help either in directx9, directx10 and directx11 hardware mode.
