Input problem with Lilypad and DDR
#1
I am Having an issue with dance dance revolution. the game will not recognize left and right nor up and down.

I'm using Lilypad SVN 0.11.0 and the 'test device' option in the plugin detects both inputs simultaneously. Some assistance would be nice.

Are you using a controller? What kind? Can you show a screenshot of your lilypad config?

I've tested with both a controller(DDR pad) and keyboard input, the issue remains.

Where did you get that version of Lilypad? That looks to be a really old build.

Try disabling V-Sync in pcsx2 and GPU drivers.

Since he did not show the Pad1 tab, possibly he didn't map any button in there.

I was having the same issue, but I've solved it. I'm running a default PCSX2 installation (1.2.1 r5875) so there's nothing extra you need.

Instead of mapping your dance mat or keyboard to the dpad buttons (up, down, left, right), map your dance mat or keyboard to the face buttons (X, O, Square, Triangle).

The game will recognize inputs for the notes if they come from the dpad or the face buttons. So if you set your input device to the face buttons, you'll be able to hit the chords/multi-direction notes.

This is the correct mapping for each in-game direction
LEFT = Square
DOWN = X
UP = Triangle
RIGHT = O

I've only tested this with DDRMAX2 so far, but hopefully it works for the other games.
